About the Role:
We are seeking a UX Designer to create intuitive, high-quality interaction designs for future vehicle interfaces, including instrument clusters, touchscreens, voice/gesture controls, and emerging technologies. You will work within a Figma-based Design System, ensuring consistency while innovating for seamless in-car experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design user interfaces for in-vehicle systems using human-centred principles.
- Translate complex requirements into Figma prototypes and testable interactions.
- Contribute to and maintain the Design System/component library (collaborating with DesignOps/engineering).
- Work with researchers to validate designs through user testing and behavioural science insights.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, design reviews, and cross-functional teamwork.
Essential Skills:
- Proven UX/UI design experience (complex/embedded systems preferred).
- Strong Figma skills (prototyping, components, auto layout, libraries).
- Experience with Design Systems and component libraries.
- Knowledge of usability, accessibility, and UX best practices.
- Ability to create user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Comfortable in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Background in automotive, consumer electronics, or mobility (desirable).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in automotive UX (instrument clusters, infotainment, HMI).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
- Exposure to user research methods (qualitative/quantitative data).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in UX Design, HCI, Product Design, Psychology, Human Factors, or Ergonomics.
